The Pocono Mountains here at Icks Pond makes the scenery here pleasant, and needless to say Dark Hollow Run flows through
this vicinity. Drift down the rapids of Wallenpaupack Creek - East Branch in a kayak, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Tanglwood. For the duration of the days of summer here at Icks Pond, high temperatures
commonly get into the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Icks Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter
nights.
Going for a hike on the Snow Shanty Trail is always a perfect adventure, and if you need a place to stay Shadowbrook Resort is a great choice. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Icks Pond is great! There
are good sites to explore along the Whittaker Trail, and the snow is wonderful at Alpine Mountain. All the outdoors exciting stuff near Icks Pond will keep you coming back many times. You don’t have to go far from Icks Pond to catch
a sight of the water at Number Three Dam, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Wallenpaupack Creek.
Black Ash Swamp is a swamp right next door to Icks Pond, and folks from East Stroudsburg love to come here.
