We hiked around Hunters Lake in November. It was a rainy weekend and some of the trail was very wet but it was a flat, easy hike and the soggy ground was not hazardous. Parking is on the opposite side of Brunnerdale from the lake. Follow the gold blazes to hike around the lake. They begin on your left after crossing the dam. The last mile of the hike is actually on Brunnerdale Road. Not sure why the trail doesn't continue lakeside. Good family outing.

Beautiful Hunters Lake has much to offer visitors. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Danville PA. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Danville-Days Inn Conference Center is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and if you've had enough of Hunters Lake, Mud Lake is close by. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hunters Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hemlock Valley Campground; nice hiking is available along the Walnut

Hunters Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest. There's so much to do here at Hunters Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pioneer Campground is a nice spot for that, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Loyalsock Creek. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Hunters Lake. There's good hiking along the Laurel Ridge | |

Through the warmest time of the year here at Hunters Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down
into the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Hunters Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. Get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Elk Creek; the Loyalsock Trail offers hiking at its best.
