A visit to Hunter Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Paradise Creek, and The Camp At East Lake is a great campground nearby. A perfect close by hotel is Howard Johnson Inn - Bartonsville, and what would winter be without some skiing at Camelback. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Hunter Lake. Hunter Lake is in close proximity to Hunter Lake Dam which is a gorgeous site beyond doubt worth taking a look at, and next to Hunter Lake you stumble on a golf course called Evergreen Golf Club. If you come at the right time of year, Pocono Creek offers some great whitewater, and going for a hike on the Indian Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake | |

is so wonderful. There are glorious places to explore along the Camelback Trail, and Hunter Lake is not the only location nearby, Pinemere Lake is a nearby lake.
All through the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at
Hunter Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Hunter Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. You could also
have a look at Laurel Lake since you're here at Hunter Lake; it's close by; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Bulgers Run. Hunter Lake is a reasonably wet place generally with lots of rainfall; throughout May this area
sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
Ramada Limited Pocono is a nice place to get some rest, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Airy Lodge while you're here. You'll meet a lot of people from East Stroudsburg here, and you can stay the night at Pocono Vacation Park Campground.
