There are good spots to discover along the Blooming Grove Trail, and the skiing at Tanglwood is great. All the water falling down from the sky makes Huff Pond a wet site; through August this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. A quick trip to Holbert Creek close to Huff Pond is a glorious idea, and going for a hike on the       White Deer Trail is always a nice adventure. Huff Pond really is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. While you're here at Huff Pond, you could also stop by lovely Bucks Cove Lake, and Honesdale Golf Club is a golf course nearby. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area near Huff Pond has to offer. A day on the slopes of Ski Big Bear is just what you need. Huff Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Countryside                  Family Campground is a great local campground, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lackawaxen River. Huff Pond is near Quarno Dam which is a scenic site absolutely worth visiting, and Freethy Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out. High temperatures at Huff Pond all through the months of summer are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Huff Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Huff Pond without first going for a hike along the East Branch Bruce Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Huff Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Hideaway Lakes Camping is a great site for that. This lake is so wonderful.
