Get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of Little Conemaugh River, and Scotch Valley Country Club is a golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Courtyard By Marriott Altoona is a splendid place to get some rest; there's some flowing water close by, Blair Gap Run is a stream you can go to while you're here.       There's whitewater on Yellow Creek for all you adrenaline people; on a delightful day you acquire a nice view of Chimney Rocks from Hollidaysburg Reservoir. Stay the night at Wright's Orchard Station Campground, and a nice close by hotel is Comfort Inn Duncansville. There's so much to do here at Hollidaysburg Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Blue Knob State Park is a tremendous place for that; a lake nearby is Lakemont Reservoir. Hollidaysburg                  Reservoir gets a typical amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout July; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Hollidaysburg Reservoir is not the only spot nearby, Oakton Reservoir is a nearby lake, and perfect skiing awaits you at Blue Knob. Through the long summer days highs here at Hollidaysburg Reservoir reach the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. During the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Hollidaysburg Reservoir temperatures drop to the 10's.
