At Hirsh Pond through the summer months highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Hirsh Pond temperatures fall to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Meshoppen Creek, and camping is available at Stony Mountain Campground. Drift       down the rapids of Bowman Creek in a kayak; after a long day outdoors Best Western Genetti Hotel & Convention Center is a great place to spend a night or two. The amount of precipitation that falls at Hirsh Pond is close to the national average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is January. Playing golf is lots of fun at Shadowbrook Resort Golf Course, and Thurston Hollow is a delightful location to go to. This is a                  popular spot for people from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre, and a lake close by is Lake Catalpa. This lake is so wonderful. At Hirsh Pond you can spot Miller Mountain, and going for a hike along the Pinnacle Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Hirsh Pond is in the neighborhood of Hirsh Dam which is a picturesque place unquestionably worth checking out, and Perrins Marsh is a nearby lake that you could stop at.
