Highwood Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Camping is available at Outdoor world Resort, and the Indian Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Near Highwood Lake you locate the Camelback Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail; why not camp at Four Seasons Campgrounds since you're here at Highwood Lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Camelback is close to Highwood Lake, and Lindenmere Dam is a site that is in the vicinity of Highwood Lake.

The snow is perfect at Mount Airy Lodge, and a perfect place for whitewater paddling is Paradise Creek. Highwood Lake gets lots of water; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the
driest month. Pocono Creek is a perfect whitewater spot in close proximity to Highwood Lake, and swamps don’t sound that wonderful but Huckleberry Swamp close to Highwood Lake is pretty wonderful.
