Sure, Deer Valley Lake is in the neighborhood, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Wisp while you're here. Put some time aside to spend at Big Spring since you're here at High Point Lake, and if you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Grantsville is a great choice. Go for a hike on the Brant Trail, and Roberts Lake is a glorious lake close by. Summertime highs at High Point Lake typically       tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at High Point Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great earth it would be. At High Point Lake you always meet someone from Somerset; Wisp Resort is a fine place to get some rest. Camping at Lost Mountain Campground is always a perfect experience, and nearby you hit upon the Wolf Rocks Trail which is a good hiking trail. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do next to High Point Lake. High Point Lake usually gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during July while February is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
