High Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. High Lake is a wet site that gets a large amount of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at High Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at High Lake descend into

You'll need more than a day to discover everything High Lake has to offer, you can camp at Twin Falls Campground, and Elk Mountain is a very popular ski area close at hand. Mount Tone has splendid slopes and a friendly staff, and a wonderful site for whitewater paddling is Lackawanna River. Stay the night at Camp Weequahic; why not go to Kinneyville Pond Dam since you're here. Middle Creek - Lackawaxen Tributary is a delightful whitewater spot close to High Lake.
