Hickory Run Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. The summit of Pine Hill can be seen from Hickory Run Lake; the Choke Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Hickory Run Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lehigh Gorge Campground is a good place for that, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Hickory Run Dam. | | Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Mountain Laurel Golf Club is close by, and if you came to camp Jim Thorpe Camping Resort is a fine place to do that. Any time is a brilliant time at Hickory Run Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. You'll meet a lot of folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre here. | |

During the summer highs here at Hickory Run Lake get into the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Hickory Run Lake
tend to be in the 10's. If you need a place to stay Split Rock Resort is a magnificent choice; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Lehigh River. There's fine hiking along the Boulder
Field Trail, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn -Pocono Mountain is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. Not far from Hickory Run Lake, you'll hit upon Sand Spring Lake which is a beautiful lake; why not head up to Jack
Frost and strap some skis to your feet. This location is peerless, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of Hickory Run Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Refuge Trail, and the snow is brilliant at Split Rock. It's always pleasant to go to Big Spring. Lakes? Sure, Mosey Wood Pond is close at hand.
