The summit of Pine Hill can be seen from Hickory Run Lake; the Choke Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Hickory Run Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lehigh Gorge Campground is a good place for that, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Hickory Run Dam. Lots of rain falls at Hickory Run       Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Mountain Laurel Golf Club is close by, and if you came to camp Jim Thorpe Camping Resort is a fine place to do that. Any time is a brilliant time at Hickory Run Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. You'll meet a lot of folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre here.                  During the summer highs here at Hickory Run Lake get into the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Hickory Run Lake tend to be in the 10's.
