At Hiawatha Lake through the warm months highs are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Hiawatha Lake. Hiawatha Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; throughout May this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least       amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Airy Lodge; camping is available at Silver Valley Campsites. Why not camp at Chestnut Lake Campground while you're here at Hiawatha Lake. You'll hit upon a pretty lake called Lake Akiba near Hiawatha Lake, and Days Inn Tannersville is a nice place to get some rest. Going for a hike on the Indian Trail is always a brilliant adventure; if you don't                  mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pocono Creek. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Hiawatha Lake. A great close by hotel is Chateau Resort at Camelback; a good site for whitewater paddling is Lehigh River. A tour to Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor is recommended, and nearby you stumble on the Camelback Trail which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful.
