If you are in Adams county it's always a good idea to stop by Lake Heritage. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Conewago Creek - West in a kayak, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Scenic Vista Trail. Ridge Camp Resort is a wonderful spot to camp; do take a hike on the Hammonds Rocks Trail. Just can't get enough of Lake Heritage. Paddling on Marsh Creek is so much fun, and why not camp at Drummer Boy Camping Resort if you're here
at Lake Heritage.
The amount of rainfall that falls at Lake Heritage is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is June; the driest month of the year is January. Chicken Run is near Lake Heritage and is
always a delight to have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Sheep Heaven is easily observed from Lake Heritage; going for a hike along the Ant Mount Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
A tremendous close by hotel is Courtyard by Marriott Gettysburg, and you'll meet a lot of people from Gettysburg here.
