From a precipitation point of view Lake Heritage is a relatively common place; June is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There are other spots here than Lake Heritage, for example Kaiser Lake, and camping at Artillery Ridge Camp Resort is always a pleasant experience. High temperatures at Lake Heritage during the days of summer are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake Heritage. This lake is so wonderful. The Ant Mount                  Trail offers hiking at its best; Lake Heritage is good enough to spend more than a day at, Drummer Boy Camping Resort is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Gettysburg is a good choice, and there's good hiking along the Hammonds Rocks Trail. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Marsh Creek; a journey to Catoctin Mountain Park is worthwhile. There are plenty of folks from Gettysburg here at Lake Heritage; here at Lake Heritage you can distinguish Sheep Heaven. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Heritage; Scenic Vista Trail is a glorious local trail. Why not stop by nearby Chicken Run while you're here at Lake Heritage, and if you come at the right time of year, Conewago Creek - West offers some wonderful whitewater.
