Going for a hike on the Camelback Trail is always a nice adventure, and Hawkey Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Hemlock Campground and Cottages is a good local campground. If only every site had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great earth it would be. If you get bored of Hawkey Pond, you could also take a look at nearby Pocono Summit Lake,       and during your visit here you'll meet some folks from East Stroudsburg for sure. Summertime highs at Hawkey Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Hawkey Pond plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Really wonderful skiing awaits you at Camelback, and camping at Mt Pncono Campground                  is always a great experience. Hawkey Pond is a good spot of normal rainfall; during the month of June you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is January. Man, is there plenty of amusing stuff to do near Hawkey Pond. Lynchwood Dam is scenic and it's close to Hawkey Pond, and Lynchwood Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites, and you can never get enough of the fine skiing at Mount Airy Lodge. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Paradise Creek, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Lakeside Trail.
