During the days of summer here at Hartley Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's. Throughout the       dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Hartley Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Elk Mountain, and Comfort Inn Clarks Summit is a fine spot to get some rest. While you're here at Hartley Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Scranton—Wilkes-Barre, and hey, Gotta ski right? Montage Mountain is a good place                  to do that. Why not camp at How Kola Camp if you're here at Hartley Pond. Lackawanna River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby; obviously East Branch Tunkhannock Creek flows through this region. Hartley Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily June, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. A good spot to camp here at Hartley Pond is Sunrise Lake Family Campgrnds, and do take a hike on the Pinnacle Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Hartley Pond.
