Sunset Vue Campground is a brilliant local campground. Gifford Hollow is a nice site to spend some time at, and if you're visiting from Bradford, you won't be the only one. Hamlin Lake is a great location to visit for more than one
day, Bettum's Idlewood Family Campground is a great location to camp nearby, and next to Hamlin Lake you find a golf course called Smethport Country Club.
On a pleasant day at Hamlin Lake you can take a hike along the Brown Hollow
Number 1 Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Hamlin Lake, you could also have a look at pretty Stephens Lake, and some of the water nearby flows, like Blacksmith Run. The annual rain here at Hamlin Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is June, and February is the month with the least moisture.

I have been the advisor for the Cowanesque Valley Ski and Snowboard Club for 7 years. Our club has always come to Denton Hill. We have over 60 members in our club this year ranging from 1st grade to adulthood. We are so fortunate to have access to such a terrific mountain! The trails are challenging and the scenery picturesque. Our beginner members have benefited from the patience of Denton instructors and have developed into good skiers/boarders. The prices at the snack bar are reasonable and we enjoy munching on hot chili, and nachos and cheese. Thanks Denton for helping us cope with the winter blues. We look forward to every Sunday we spend at your slopes and do not look forward to the end of the season.... |
