Many people like to go to Green Pond. For the period of the warm days of summer here at Green Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and overnight lows during the winter for Green Pond tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Hotel & Convention Center is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Pinnacle Trail is always a delightful adventure. Camp Orchard Hill is a great campground nearby; in case you don’t have a problem getting
wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lackawanna River.
There are fine places to discover along the Refuge Trail; lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Frances Slocum Lake. If you're here at Green Pond, you could
stop by Huntsville Creek, and the peak of Bunker Hill can be seen from Green Pond. Be careful coming to Green Pond, you might not ever want to return home again.
Frances Slocum Dam is not far at all from Green Pond, and you'll
never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Montage Mountain since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course right next door to Green Pond is Twin Oaks Golf Club, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Harveys Creek.
