The beauty of Green Pond is reason enough to stop by. There's great hiking along the Pinnacle Trail; why not take a look at Frances Slocum Dam if you're here. All through the summer months at Green Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Green Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Green Pond has to offer, you can camp at Schaffer's Riverside Campgrnd, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Genetti Hotel & Convention Center. This lake is so wonderful. Frances Slocum Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; here at Green
Pond you can see Bunker Hill. There's so much to do here at Green Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Stony Mountain Campground is a good spot for that; Montage Mountain has nice slopes and a friendly staff. Hit the slopes
at Jack Frost close at hand; hiking is a popular thing to do around Green Pond; Refuge Trail is a perfect local trail.
Ramada Plaza Hotel On-The-Square is a perfect place to get some rest; Twin Oaks Golf Club is a tremendous golf
course close by. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Green Pond. Green Pond is a place with many visitors from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre, and if you come at the right time of year, Harveys Creek offers some pleasant whitewater.
