There is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Green Hills Lake called the Buzzard Trail, and on a wonderful day you obtain a glorious vista of Gibraltar Hill from Green Hills Lake. Green Hills Lake Dam has magnificent water scenery and it's close to Green Hills Lake; if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Brandywine Creek - West       Branch. Be careful coming to Green Hills Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. A splendid spot to camp here at Green Hills Lake is Oak Creek Campground; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Morgantown/Pa Tnpk Exit 298 is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. Near Green Hills Lake you locate a golf course called Green Hills Golf Course, and lots of folks from Reading come here. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Green Hills                  Lake you can take a hike along the Horseshoe Trail. During the summer months, highs generally are in the 80's at Green Hills Lake, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Green Hills Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Lake- In- Wood Camping is always a fine experience, and the slopes of Blue Marsh are so inviting nobody can resist. A good deal of precipitation falls at Green Hills Lake; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
