Man, is there loads of entertaining things to do right next door to Gravel Pond. Go for a hike on the Snow Shanty Trail, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Mount Airy Lodge. Summertime highs at Gravel Pond mostly       tend to be in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Gravel Pond temperatures drop to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Gravel Pond from East Stroudsburg, you won't be the only one. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Gravel Pond has to offer, you can camp at Camp Pocono Ridge. There are good spots                  to discover along the Burley Inlet Trail, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Wallenpaupack Creek - East Branch. Lakes are good; PA-463 Reservoir is a lake that's near Gravel Pond, and let's not forget Buck Hill Creek which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. Gravel Pond is a wet location that gets a lot of rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Dry warm beds await you at Skytop Lodge, and not far from Gravel Pond you obtain some pleasant water scenery at Leavitt Branch Dam. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent panorama of beautiful Middle Mountain is available from Gravel Pond, and not far from Gravel Pond you'll discover Skytop Lower Lake which is a gorgeous lake. If only every place had this much outdoors fun things, what a great globe it would be. There's whitewater on Paradise Creek for all you adrenaline kick people.
