Gravel Pond is a lake worth visiting. Throughout the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Gravel Pond with overnight lows in the 50's. Through the winter highs are frequently in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Gravel Pond are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Gravel Pond you can see Captain White Hill; a pleasant spot to camp here at Gravel Pond is Highland Camp Ground. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing

| | to do around Gravel Pond; Choke Creek Trail is a perfect local trail, and Gravel Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, How Kola Camp is a brilliant local campground. Glenburn Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Corby Swamp is right close by. Don't leave Gravel Pond without first going for a hike along the Pinnacle Trail, and not far from Gravel Pond you get some pleasant water scenery at Glenburn | |

Dam. The high level of rainfall makes Gravel Pond a quite wet place; all through June this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Gravel Pond. If you come
at the right time of year, Lackawanna River offers some good whitewater, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre here. An afternoon playing golf at Summit Hills Golf Course is always a delight, and don't forget to
take a splendid little tour to Ackerly Creek. There's delightful hiking along the Refuge Trail; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Clarks Summit. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Elk Mountain is in the neighborhood of Gravel
Pond. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Spring Brook; a day on the slopes of Montage Mountain is just what you need. Be careful coming to Gravel Pond, you might not ever wanna go back home again. If you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Clarks Summit is a pleasant choice; do stop at Lance Pond, it's a pretty lake.
