J&D Campground
 | 17 miles away We loved this campground. It was clean and neat and many nice people. We are already planning to go back next year. It is so close to Knoebles too....A group of us have been going to J&D for 18 to 20 years. Over this time period they have made many improvements to the campground. Being just down the road from Knobles Amusement Park makes it a better location than the Knobles Camp Ground. J&D site are larger, cleaner and they maintain the sites. Kurt Jones takes special pride in his grass, so don't think about parking on it or setting up a tent. A few years ago he added sewer hook-ups and this has added to the appeal of the campground. The ratings in the camping books appear to be lower than my ratings would be. Usually it is just the opposite. The pool is old and a little small for the size of the campground. But we go back every year and always enjoy the stay.... |
