The amount of precipitation that falls at Gillespies Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is June; February is the month with the least moisture. Take a side tour to Meylert Creek, and camping is available at Meadow View Family Campground. This site is great, just look at all the cool stuff to do       in the vicinity of Gillespies Pond. Hit the slopes at Elk Mountain in the neighborhood, and do visit Upper Lake, it's a gorgeous lake. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GIBSON is a great place to spend a night or two, and a striking lake like Hunt Lake is a delightful site to visit. High temperatures at Gillespies Pond during the warm months are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's.                  The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Gillespies Pond are in the 10's.
