Do stop by Galeton Lake while you're in this part of Pennsylvania. If only every site had this much outdoors cool things, what a great planet it would be. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Denton since you're here; don't leave Galeton Lake without first going for a hike along the Phoenix Trail. | | is a splendid place to camp, and swing by Johnson Brook it's a tremendous place to visit.
Go for a hike on the Dry Bottom Trail; whitewater paddling is splendid on Slate Run. Kearse's Campground is a great campground nearby, and get wet paddling on Cedar Run. The amount of rainfall that falls at Galeton Lake is close to the national average; during June this area sees the most rain while February is mostly the driest month.

try Acid Factory Hollow; why not visit Galeton Dam while you're here. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Galeton Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's while Galeton Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's.
