Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Cedar Run; a lake nearby is Beechwood Lake. Lyman Run Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by; do stop by Johnson Brook since you're here at Galeton Lake. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. You might want to pay a visit to Acid Factory Hollow if you're here at Galeton Lake. There's so much to do here at Galeton       Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Ox Yoke Inn is a tremendous place for that. There are some great whitewater spots on Slate Run, and nearby you hit upon the Dry Bottom Trail which is a great hiking trail. Galeton Lake gets a common amount of rainfall; throughout the month of June you get the most rain around here; the driest month is February. The Clark Farm Trail is a great hiking trail near Galeton Lake, also Galeton Dam is worth taking a look                  at while you're here. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Galeton Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Galeton Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Kearse's Campground is a wonderful site to do that; going for a hike on the Phoenix Trail is always a splendid adventure. This lake is so wonderful.
