The snow is great at Mount Airy Lodge, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Paradise Creek. Man, is there a heap of fun things to do near Freeland Pond. Near Freeland Pond you hit upon the Indian Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and Ramada Limited Pocono is a tremendous place to get some rest. Lots of precipitation falls at Freeland Pond; May is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile       is the driest month. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Freeland Pond get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Freeland Pond. Going for a hike on the Camelback Trail is always a fine adventure; a tour to Paradise Falls will fill your soul with glorious feelings. Freeland Pond is close to Meistertown Dam which is a wonderful location                  definitely worth taking a look at, and swamps like Cranberry Swamp are fun to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. You could also have a look at Swiftwater Lake since you're here at Freeland Pond; it's close by, and Lindenmere Sports & Arts center is a brilliant campground nearby. Golf can be played at Evergreen Golf Club; dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Inn - Bartonsville. Paddling on Pocono Creek is so much fun, and a lake close by is Alpine Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Head up to Alpine Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and if you came for an overnight stay Maple Rock Campsite is a good place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Freeland Pond you will meet lots of people from close by East Stroudsburg, and getting to Forest Hills Run from Freeland Pond is easy.
