The beauty of Fountain Lake attracts many people from all around. Fountain Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; July is the wettest month with most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Going for a hike on the Refuge Trail is always a great adventure; an afternoon playing golf at Alfortene Golf Links is always a bliss.
There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Jack Frost, and a great nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Wilkes-Barre.

In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bear Creek; at Fountain Lake you can observe Arbutus Peak.

paddling near Fountain Lake is Lehigh River; Sandy Valley Campground is a magnificent local campground. Hit the slopes at Split Rock nearby, and close by you hit upon the Choke Creek Trail which is a nice hiking trail. And that's
not all you can do here at Fountain Lake. Go for a hike on the Boulder Field Trail, and Fountain Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Lehigh Gorge Campground is a great spot to camp nearby.
Fountain Lake is not
far at all from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre, and swamps don’t sound that tremendous but Jimmy Kane Swamp in the vicinity of Fountain Lake is reasonably tremendous. This lake is so wonderful. A quick visit to Conety Run close to Fountain
Lake is a wonderful idea, and there are other locations here than Fountain Lake, for example Lake Francis. All through the summertime highs here at Fountain Lake get into the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Throughout
the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Fountain Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
