Here at Fountain Lake there are plenty of folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Wilkes-Barre is a delightful location to spend a night or two. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Jack Frost is close to Fountain Lake, and Crystal Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. During the days of summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Fountain Lake       with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Fountain Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Arbutus Peak is easily seen from Fountain Lake. There's so much to do here at Fountain Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lehigh Gorge Campground is a pleasant place for that. Just can't get enough of Fountain Lake. If you're here at Fountain Lake, you                  could have a look at Conety Run, and you can stay the night at Sandy Valley Campground. The annual rainfall here at Fountain Lake is about average; July is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Fountain Lake, you could also stop by nearby Olympus Pond, and near Fountain Lake you stumble on a golf course called Alfortene Golf Links. A fine close by hotel is Econo Lodge Wilkes-Barre, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Choke Creek Trail. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Fountain Lake. If the weather is splendid here at Fountain Lake, you can go for a hike along the Refuge Trail; there are swamps here too, Jimmy Kane Swamp is around here. Split Rock is a splendid local ski area. On a great day at Fountain Lake you can take a hike along the Boulder Field Trail, and Bear Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by.
