Pennsylvania has many beautiful lakes and Fords Lake is one of them. If you came to camp Highland Camp Ground is a tremendous site to do that, and if you're a golfer then a magnificent nearby course is Summit Hills Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Captain White Hill is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Fords Lake, and lots of people from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre come here. If you come at the right time of year, Spring Brook offers some splendid whitewater, and if you need a place to stay Days Inn is a great choice. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Good hiking is available along the Pinnacle Trail. Why not take a look at Fords Lake Dam while you're here; hiking is a popular thing to do around Fords Lake; Refuge Trail is a pleasant local trail.

Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lackawanna River, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Montage Mountain is quite near. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Fords Lake. Lakes are nice;
Gravel Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Fords Lake, and the skiing at Elk Mountain is great. This lake is so wonderful. The Choke Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn.
All
the water falling down from the sky makes Fords Lake a wet place; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. The warmest time of the year at Fords Lake arrives with high temperatures in
the 70's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Fords Lake dip into the 10's.
