There's whitewater on Spring Brook for all you thrill seekers; close by you discover the Choke Creek Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Elk Mountain while you're here, and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Refuge Trail. For the duration of the days of summer here at Fords Lake, high temperatures       regularly reach the 70's; the overnight is a tad colder of course, frequently in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Fords Lake tend to be in the 10's. A great nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Clarks Summit, and camping at How Kola Camp is always a magnificent experience. There are some great whitewater spots on Lackawanna River; do have a look at Mack Lake, it's a striking lake. Fords Lake is a reasonably wet place regularly with a large amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily June, that's the one that rains the most while February is generally the driest month. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Fords Lake Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and Captain White Hill is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Fords Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
