There's so much to do here at Fetter Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Christmas Pines Camp Ground is a brilliant location for that. If only every place had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great earth it would be. Ringtown Valley is a good spot to have a look at close by; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Northkill Path. This lake is       so wonderful. Kehly Run is a lovely stream that is worth a visit, and Econo Lodge Frackville is a tremendous place to get some rest. Fetter Pond sits in the shade of the Locust Mountain; if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Frackville is a magnificent choice. Man, is there heaps of cool things to do close to Fetter Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Fetter Pond has to offer, you can camp at Red Ridge Lake Campground, and whitewater paddling                  is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Black Creek. Throughout the summer months at Fetter Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Fetter Pond temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Nescopeck Creek offers some wonderful whitewater, and this is a popular place for folks from Pottsville. You could also explore Number Five Reservoir since you're here at Fetter Pond; it's nearby, and at Kehley Run Dam Number Six close to Fetter Pond there are some out of the ordinary things to see. Locust Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Fetter Pond, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Sand Spring Trail. An average amount of precipitation falls at Fetter Pond; most of the rain falls through June, and February is when it's the driest.
