Lake is not far at all from East Stroudsburg, and going for a hike along the Camelback Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Fairview Lake.
If you need a place to stay SUPER 8 MOTEL - MT. POCONO is a nice choice, and there are some great whitewater spots on Pocono Creek.
After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a good spot to spend a night or two, and golf
can be played at Buck Hill Falls CO Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Paradise Creek, and the Lakeside Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby. Camelback is a very popular ski area close at hand, and not far from Fairview Lake you'll discover Lake Minausin which is a charming lake.
