On a perfect day at Fairchild Pond you can take a hike along the Old Bulldozer Road Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Little Wilkes-Barre Mountain can be distinguished from Fairchild Pond, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Harveys Creek. The warmest time of the year at Fairchild       Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Fairchild Pond are in the 10's. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Mud Pond; there's some flowing water nearby, Reservoir Creek is a stream you can have a look at during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. A fine place to camp here at Fairchild Pond is Council Cup                  Campground, and Espy Gap is positively a great site to visit.
