Some of the water close by flows, like Kellum Creek, and after a long day outdoors Sleep Inn & Suites Scranton Dunmore is a glorious place to spend a night or two. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Montage Mountain, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Lackawanna River. If only every       location had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. Jack Frost has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Clayton Park Recreational Area. Lakes are great; Mud Pond is a lake that's next to Elmhurst Reservoir. Summertime highs at Elmhurst Reservoir mostly tend to be in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; winter nights                  come with lows in the 10's to Elmhurst Reservoir. Swamps are exciting places and Mullen Swamp close to Elmhurst Reservoir is no exception; playing golf is lots of fun at Wemberly Hills Golf Course. All the water falling down from the sky makes Elmhurst Reservoir a wet site; during the month of June you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Man, is there a lot of amusing stuff to do in the vicinity of Elmhurst Reservoir. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Curtis Reservoir, and Holiday Inn SCRANTON-EAST (DUNMORE) is a good place to get some rest. Don't leave Elmhurst Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Lakeside Trail, and Elmhurst Reservoir is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Lake Greeley Camp is a fine site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
