Many people like to go to Egelman Basin. The high level of precipitation makes Egelman Basin a reasonably wet location; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Egelman Basin; Lenade Trail is a good local trail, and Blue Marsh is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. | | close by Antietam Reservoir, and if you yearn for a little side journey, try McKnight Gap.
If you're going to Egelman Basin from Reading, you won't be the only one, and not far from Egelman Basin you'll hit upon Bernhart Reservoir which is a gorgeous lake. There's so much to do here at Egelman Basin that you need to camp here for a while, Blue Falls Grove Campground is a wonderful place for that, and the vista of Neversink Mountain is gorgeous. in hydro structures, you can have a look at Egelman Reservoir Dam, and Econo Lodge Northeast is a tremendous site to get some rest.
Egelman Basin in fact is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. Egelman Basin is delightful
enough to spend more than a day at, Lake- In- Wood Camping is a delightful local campground. What a site this is for outdoors folks. An afternoon playing golf at Exeter Public Golf Course is always a delight, and Brandywine Creek
- West Branch has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Egelman Basin. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's while
the cold winter nights at Egelman Basin are in the 10's.
A brilliant nearby hotel is Wyndham Reading Hotel, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Buzzard Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Poplar Neck is a tremendous location, and good hiking is available along the Horseshoe Trail.
