You just must like Echo Lake. Take a hike on the Brant Trail; a lake nearby is Tubmill Reservoir. Echo Lake is right by the Spruce Run Trail; after a long day outdoors Ramada Inn At Historic Ligonier is a great place to spend a night or two. Mirror Lake Resort is a nice campground nearby, and Loves Hollow is a wonderful site to spend some time. Summertime highs at Echo Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows       drop down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 30's while Echo Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Echo Lake is a wet location that gets much rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Hampton Inn & Suites Blairsville is a nice choice, and                  you can hit the slopes at Hidden Valley in the neighborhood. Why not take a refreshing hike along the East End Trail, and get wet paddling on Tubmill Creek. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Conemaugh River, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Ridgeview Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. At Echo Lake you always meet someone from Somerset, and Echo Lake is not the only site nearby, Mirror Lake is a nearby lake.
