Go to Echo Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. What would winter be without some skiing at Alpine Mountain, and paddling on Martins Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Motel - Stroudsburg is a glorious spot to get some rest; Echo Lake is not far at
all from East Stroudsburg. Glide down the rapids of Pocono Creek in a kayak; a brilliant close by hotel is Columbia-Days Inn. Having a fine time at Echo Lake is easy. The slopes of Shawnee Mountain are so inviting noone can resist;
hiking is a popular thing to do around Echo Lake; Indian Trail is a tremendous local trail.
High temperatures at Echo Lake during the days of summer are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter
are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Echo Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. Echo Lake mostly gets a great deal of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February.
