And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do close to East Lake. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Tunkhannock Creek, and a glorious place to camp here at East Lake is WT Family Camping. While you're here at East Lake you can take a hike along the Choke Creek Trail; get dripping wet paddling on Lehigh River. And if you're still       looking for more outdoors fun stuff just keep reading. After a long day outdoors Best Western Inn at Blakeslee-Pocono is a glorious place to spend a night or two. The Boulder Field Trail is a good hiking trail in the vicinity of East Lake, and golf can be played at Split Rock Country Club. East Lake is a good spot of normal rain; most of the rain falls through July; January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks                  from East Stroudsburg here, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Anglewood Lake. The warmest time of the year at East Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at East Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Some nearby water includes Tripup Run, and why not camp at Fern Ridge Campground while you're here at East Lake. Hit the slopes at Big Boulder nearby; not far from East Lake you acquire some good water scenery at Brady Dam. This lake is so wonderful. This is a good vicinity for folks who like lakes.
