This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Conewago Creek - East; if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Greenland Trail. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do in the neighborhood of Dresden Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Dresden Lake has to offer, you can camp at       Lickdale Campground; a glorious close by hotel is MainStay Suites Grantville. For the period of the warm months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Dresden Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Dresden Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Stouffer Lake,                  and don't forget to take a good little journey to East Branch Rausch Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A short trip to Saint Joseph Springs is always worthwhile; hiking along the Hostler Trail is great fun. Dresden Lake is a good location of typical rain; the wettest month of the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is February. You're sure to encounter some fine people from Lebanon here, and of course, this is a pleasant region for folks who like lakes, Marquette Lake is a lake around here. If you need a place to stay Days Inn Grantville is a brilliant choice. There's so much to do here at Dresden Lake that you need to camp here for a while, KOA Kampgrounds is a pleasant site for that.
