is a tremendous choice, and you don’t have to go far from Dehart Reservoir to catch a glimpse of the water at Dehart Dam. Camping at Lickdale Campground is always a good experience, and the Wolf Pond Trail is a good hiking trail nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Harrisburg-Daystop. From a rainfall point of view Dehart Reservoir is a quite normal site; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is good here at Dehart Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Rattling Run Trail, and you can run the rapids of Conewago Creek - East.

LAKE HERON RETREAT is a beautiful, secluded, primitive campground located on a 10 acre lake in Perry County, Pennsylvania. Our main attraction is our small, secluded area where nature lovers can enjoy nature. We are NOT a typical busy campground! We do not have utility hook-ups or running water. We are primitive. We have one primitive cabin, 3 individual campsites, and one separate area with a pavilion for groups of up to 35 people.
The 10 acre lake is stocked with Largemouth Bass and Channel Catfish. There are also nice Bluegills and Rock Bass. All fishing is catch and release unless you want to buy some of the fish you catch. No fishing license is require.
Swimming is pleasant in the spring feed lake. We have a floating ''swim platform'' from which kids can jump and adults can sunbathe. Canoes, rowboats, and peddleboats are available to rent for your boating pleasure.
There are many hiking trails rated easy to moderate. You are sure to see wildlife in the woods surrounding the lake, including, but not limited to, deer, turkeys, bear, fox, herons and many other ... |
