The beauty of Deer Valley Lake attracts many people from all around. Going for a hike along the Wolf Rocks Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Seven Springs since you're here; Lost Mountain Campground is a glorious campground nearby. Deer Valley Lake is a wet place that gets much rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.

| | Inn Grantsville is a delightful place to get some rest, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Spruce Run Trail. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Deer Valley Lake has it all. Very scenic scenery and magnificent skiing is what you get at Hidden Valley; Big Spring is always fun to check out. The top of Mount Davis is easily seen from Deer Valley Lake, and you'll meet a lot of people from Somerset here.

Cove Lake Dam is worth visiting while you're here, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Brant Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Somerset,Pa, and the peaks of the Negro Mountain dominate the scenery
of this vicinity. All through the days of summer highs here at Deer Valley Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows at Deer Valley Lake
through the wintertime commonly dip into the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Casselman River right next door to Deer Valley Lake, and you can stay the night at Scottyland Camping Resort and RV.
