Drift down the rapids of Paradise Creek in a kayak. SUPER 8 MOTEL - MT. POCONO is a good site to get some rest; paddling on Lehigh River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Airy Lodge, and there's some interesting stuff to distinguish at Pinetree Lake Dam next to Deer Pond. Through the summer       highs here at Deer Pond reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Deer Pond temperatures dip to the 10's. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the vicinity of Deer Pond. It's always good to pop by Sand Spring, and wonderful hiking is available along the Indian Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you                  came for an overnight stay Mt Pncono Campground is a brilliant place to camp, and there are plenty of people from East Stroudsburg here at Deer Pond. There's great hiking along the Lakeside Trail, and why not camp at Mount Pocono Campground since you're here at Deer Pond. A good close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites, and if the weather is beautiful, you acquire a good vista of High Knob from Deer Pond. Deer Pond is a quite wet place generally with lots of rain; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is the month with the least moisture. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Camelback. Lakes? Sure, Pine Tree Lake is close at hand.
