If the weather is       great here at Deer Lake, you can go for a hike along the Burley Inlet Trail, and lots of people from East Stroudsburg come here. This lake is so wonderful. Onawa Lake is a pleasant lake in the neighborhood of Deer Lake; why not camp at Mt Pncono Campground while you're here at Deer Lake. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do close to Deer Lake. Buck Hill Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at, and from Deer Lake                  you acquire a perfect panorama of Chestnut Mountain. Why not go to Kresge Dam since you're here, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Snow Shanty Trail. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Wallenpaupack Creek - East Branch, and if you need a spot to stay Skytop Lodge is a great choice. Shadowbrook Resort is a good location to get some rest; a tour to Buck Hill Falls will fill your soul with nice feelings. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Alpine Mountain. Lakes? Sure, Birch Lake is nearby. Mount Airy Lodge is a brilliant local ski area. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Paradise Creek, and Buck Hill Falls CO Golf Club is a glorious golf course nearby. At Deer Lake throughout the warm months highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's.
