| | Brook. Looking for something right next door to Deer Lake? Mud Pond is in close proximity; on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Pinnacle Trail. This lake is so wonderful. During your tour to Deer Lake you'll meet some folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre for sure, and golf can be played at Lakeland Golf Club. Pond is near Deer Lake, and a great nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Clarks Summit. This lake is so wonderful. Deer Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, How Kola Camp is a great local campground, and there is a splendid
hiking trail close by called the Refuge Trail. The slopes of Montage Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and a perfect place to camp here at Deer Lake is Sunrise Lake Family Campgrnds. Deer Lake gets a large amount of water;
throughout June this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime highs at Deer Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. Through
the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's; nighttime lows throughout the winter for Deer Lake tend to be in the 10's.
