If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Day Pond. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Ski Big Bear, and not far from Day Pond you obtain some perfect water scenery at Kellow Lake Dam. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at       Day Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cherry Ridge Campground is a perfect site for that, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the East Branch Bruce Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lackawanna River, and not far from Day Pond you'll discover Camp Cayuga Lake which is a stunning lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the                  exciting stuff at Day Pond. A fine spot for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Day Pond is Middle Creek - Lackawaxen Tributary; The Settlers Inn is a pleasant place to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Day Pond has to offer, you can camp at Hideaway Lakes Camping; hiking along the White Deer Trail is good fun. At Day Pond during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Day Pond. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Honesdale Golf Club is close by. Lakes are pleasant; Upper Wilcox Pond is a lake that's close to Day Pond. Day Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February.
