In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bowman Creek. Summertime highs at Cruver Pond frequently tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. During the winter highs are typically in the 30's while Cruver Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cruver Pond; Pinnacle       Trail is a tremendous local trail; if you need a place to stay Ramada Plaza Hotel On-The-Square is a great choice. The amount of precipitation that falls at Cruver Pond is close to the national average; June is the wettest month with most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. The summit of Mount Airy can be seen from Cruver Pond; if you're here, you could stop at Swale Brook. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great                  world it would be. Lots of folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre come to Cruver Pond, and whitewater paddling is nice on Meshoppen Creek. Stay the night at Stony Mountain Campground, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Shadowbrook Resort Golf Course is close at hand.
