Why not stop by Crescent Lake if you're passing through these parts. High temperatures at Crescent Lake through the long summer days are in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Crescent Lake. wonderful local campground; Dark Swamp is an exciting swamp near Crescent Lake. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are great places to stop by, and Delaware National Scenic River is no exception, and there's no
such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Tanglwood. So many amusing things to do here at Crescent Lake, too good to be true. Bear Brook flows through this neighborhood, and Round Hill can be observed from Crescent Lake. From
a precipitation point of view Crescent Lake is a relatively common site; most of the rain falls all through May, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Flat Ridge Trail is
always a good adventure, and RPAMI - Red Carpet Inn Milford is a nice place to get some rest. The Bald Hill Trail is a delightful hiking trail next to Crescent Lake, and perfect skiing awaits you at Shawnee Mountain.

 | Raft??? First off, I cant see raft going through box canyon. It might be possible, but I wouldn't want to see someone I care about be the first. After the box, downstream of the route 6 bridge, you would need a lot of rain, I mean an awful lot of rain to get through the flat water section. Personally, I do some tough runs (CL4+) and I'm not sure I'd wanna be there with that much water. With plenty of water, medium level, we were scraping a lot in the flat water section. Also, in the canyon, if someone gets hurt, they are in for a bad day. This is evident by looking at a typo map or looking down from route three bridge. ''outside the state you might find the rivers here are more forgiving''. My travel for White Water is limited: NY, NJ, MA, CT, WV, MD, VT, NC. Never been out west. With my limited experience the above states and PA and 5 years kayaking including winter, I have no clue what the above quote means. Ratings CL1-5 (6 being a rating meaning it might not be runable), while far from perfect is a pretty good indication of water difficulty. Don't paddle here unless you know wha... |
