The lake is only an average of 4 FEET DEEP! We did find an occasional 5 foot spot, but he weeds are right up to the surface making trolling very difficult. We fished the entire lake and used a fish finder thruout, we marked very little fish. We caught 2 largemouth, both around 9 inches. One on a white Houdini worm, one on a top water frog. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff next to Cranberry Glade Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Hidden Valley while you're here; why not take a refreshing hike along the Darr Trail. Take a side trip to Alex Run, and a lake close by is Clairton Lake. There's always Cranberry Glade Dam to go to close to Cranberry Glade Lake, and       get soaked paddling on Laurel Hill Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Cranberry Glade Lake is not the only site close by, Lake Pyle is a close by lake, and Cranberry Glade Lake is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park is a pleasant place to camp nearby. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Drake Run, and if you need a place to stay Donegal - Days Inn is a magnificent choice. There's great hiking along the Great Gorge Trail,                  and you can stay the night at Mill Run Campground. Cranberry Glade Lake regularly gets lots of precipitation; through July this area sees the most rain while February is generally the driest month. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cranberry Glade Lake; Wolf Rocks Trail is a brilliant local trail; pretty scenery and perfect skiing is what you acquire at Seven Springs. Summertime at Cranberry Glade Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 30's; overnight lows all through the winter for Cranberry Glade Lake tend to be in the 10's.
