Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GIBSON, and float down the rapids of Lackawanna River in a kayak. What a place this is for outdoors people. Here at Coxton Lake you can distinguish Nettle Hill, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Sidney is a magnificent choice. Coxton Lake is not the only spot nearby, Independent Lake is a nearby lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Camp Weequahic is a good location to camp.

| | This lake is so wonderful. The snow is glorious at Mount Tone, and Camp Tioga is a good local campground. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Coxton Lake get into the 80's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are typically in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Coxton Lake are in the 10's. most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. A lake close by is Spruce Lake; a day on the slopes of Elk Mountain is just what you need.
