Cooling Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do in close proximity to Cooling Pond. Cooling Pond is not far at all from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre; you can run the rapids of Spring Brook. Go for a hike on the Choke Creek Trail; Cooling Pond Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. The slopes of Jack Frost are so inviting nobody can resist, and Lackawanna River is a great whitewater spot nearby.

All the water falling down from the sky makes Cooling Pond a wet place; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Montage Mountain is a perfect local ski area, and Cooling Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Greeley Camp is a pleasant
local campground. Nay Aug Falls is a good local attraction, and Nay Aug Park Gorge is close at hand, and is a nice site.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Refuge Trail is always a nice adventure, and getting to
Meadow Brook from Cooling Pond is painless. Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel Scranton is a good site to get some rest, and golf can be played at Wemberly Hills Golf Course. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining
