Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Ski Big Bear, and Comfort Inn Pocono Lakes Region is a great spot to get some rest. While you're here at Cooks Pond, you could also explore lovely Brooks Lake; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Tanglwood. But wait,       there's more to do in the vicinity of Cooks Pond. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Lakeside Trail, and an interesting thing to stop at close to Cooks Pond is Roaming Woods Lake Dam. After a long day outdoors Caesars Cove Haven is a glorious site to spend a night or two, and hey, Moss Hollow Creek is a good local stream. Cooks Pond gets a large amount of water; the wettest month of the year is typically June, that's the one that rains the most, and                  the driest of the months is February. Through the summertime months, highs typically are in the 70's at Cooks Pond. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Cooks Pond temperatures descend to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Wallenpaupack Creek, and do explore Marsh Pond, it's a charming lake. Just can't get enough of Cooks Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Snow Shanty Trail is magnificent fun, and Lake Moc A Tec Campground is a great campground nearby.
