Through the warm months at Cooks Pond temperatures are commonly in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Cooks Pond tend to be in the 0's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Cooks Pond a wet site; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the       months is February. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. Near Cooks Pond you stumble on the Boundary Trail which is a perfect hiking trail, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Hamlin is a delightful site to spend a night or two. If you love the outdoors, you'll fancy Cooks Pond. Tanglwood has great slopes and a friendly staff. Lakes are nice; Marsh Pond is a lake that's close to Cooks Pond. Not far from Cooks Pond you obtain                  some splendid water scenery at Roaming Woods Lake Dam, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Wallenpaupack Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Ski Big Bear, and Middle Creek - Lackawaxen Tributary is a splendid whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Clayton Park Recreational Area is always a good experience, and if you need a site to stay Caesars Cove Haven is a tremendous choice. The Lakeside Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity to Cooks Pond; you're sure to encounter some good folks from East Stroudsburg here. If you're here at Cooks Pond, you could go to Moss Hollow Creek, and not far from Cooks Pond you'll find Brooks Lake which is a lovely lake.
