If you came to camp Blue Knob State Park is a great place to do that, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the John P Saylor Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Conemaugh Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Woodland Park is a good place for that, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Wolf Rocks Trail. You can take a little trip to South       Fork Reservoir Dam Site while you're here at Conemaugh Lake, and get wet paddling on Paint Creek. High temperatures at Conemaugh Lake all through the warm months are in the 80's; the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, typically in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Conemaugh Lake. Conemaugh Lake is a wet location that gets a good deal of rain; July is the month that gets                  the most rain; October on the other hand is the driest. Hiking along the Lost Turkey Trail is great fun; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Blue Knob. A pleasant close by hotel is Sleep Inn Johnstown, and needless to say Laurel Run is a pretty stream that is worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Conemaugh Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Johnstown, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Little Conemaugh River. This location is peerless, just explore all the amusing stuff to do next to Conemaugh Lake.
