In Pennsylvania there are many beautiful lakes, Comet Lake is one of them. This place, Comet Lake, it truly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Comet Lake; Warrior Trail is a good local trail, and not far from Comet Lake you get some pleasant water scenery at Comet Lake Dam. But wait, there's more to do close to Comet Lake. A tremendous location to camp here at Comet Lake is Mountain Farm Campground, and an afternoon playing golf at South Mountain Golf Course is always a diversion. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Comet Lake while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Comet Lake dipping down into the 10's all through
winter nights. A great spot for whitewater paddling near Comet Lake is Hunting Creek, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Sandy Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Glen Afton Spring will fill your soul with
brilliant feelings, and Catoctin Mountain Park is a wonderful national park.
After a long day outdoors Thurmont Super 8 Motel is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and at Comet Lake you always meet someone from Chambersburg.
This lake is so wonderful. A good place to stop by near Comet Lake is Antietam Cove, and get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Antietam Creek - East Branch. Comet Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; during
the month of May you get the most rain around here while January is usually the driest month.
Deer Lick Run is a splendid local stream, and do take a hike on the Spiderbush Nature Trail.
