And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool stuff just keep reading. The scenery at Comet Lake Dam near Comet Lake is beautiful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Comet Lake has to offer, you can camp at William Houck Campground. Don't miss out on a spree to Catoctin Mountain Park while you're here at Comet Lake; a good place to check out is Antietam Cove. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant close       by hotel is Days Inn Waynesboro, and Ski Liberty is a brilliant local ski area. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! Comet Lake is peerless! No need to travel far to have a look at attention-grabbing stuff like Clermont Crag; if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Sandy Ridge Trail. A charming lake like Red Run Lake next to Comet Lake is a great spot to pop by, and playing golf is lots of fun at South Mountain Golf Course. Comet                  Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; most of the rain falls during May, and January on the other hand is the driest. Glide down the rapids of Antietam Creek - East Branch in a kayak; Glen Afton Spring is an inspiring place to take a look at during your stay. Thurmont Super 8 Motel is a good place to get some rest; on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Spiderbush Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Hunting Creek offers some nice whitewater, and you can stay the night at Mountain Farm Campground. The vista of picturesque Buzzards Roost near Comet Lake is tremendous, and do stop at Waynesboro Reservoir, it's a delightful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Deer Lick Run is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. While you're here at Comet Lake you can take a hike along the Warrior Trail, and you'll perhaps meet some folks from Chambersburg here. Through the warm days of summer at Comet Lake highs are commonly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's.
