During your spree to Collins Lake you'll meet some people from Pittsburgh for sure, and Boyce Park is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. High temperatures at Collins Lake during the summer months are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Collins Lake has to offer, you can camp at Rustic Acres Campground, and Pond Three is a nearby lake that you could stop by.
