Chippewa Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Chippewa Lake; Spruce Run Trail is a glorious local trail, and Chippewa Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Hickory Hollow Camp Ground is a fine local campground. Everybody close by loves skiing at Hidden Valley, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Laurel Hill Creek. Just can't get enough of Chippewa Lake. This is a popular place for people from Somerset; a nice site for whitewater paddling is Casselman River. The slopes of The Springs at Laurel Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Brant Trail.

and dry warm beds await you at Somerset Super 8 Motel. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Somerset Knights Inn is a tremendous choice; good hiking is available along the Wolf Rocks Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
Kimmel Run flows through this area, and if you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Middlecreek Golf Course.
High temperatures at Chippewa Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. During the dark hours of
summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Chippewa Lake.
